Inspired by the Ikon, the MAXXIS Rekon Race MTB tyre 29x2.25" Exo SkinWall Tubeless Ready folding bead is, like it, designed for competition Cross-Country, but it is designed for highly technical and fast-rolling terrain requiring more grip and efficiency. Smaller, its knobs are also more numerous than those of the Ikon.
With a robust 60 tpi casing, this version features the Dual rubber compound blend, which promotes rolling efficiency. Two types of rubber are combined: a hard base layer and a softer rubber on the surface, for a riding experience with complete control.
In this Tubeless Ready version, which can be fitted with or without an inner tube, this tyre also features Exo reinforcement on the sidewalls, providing additional protection against abrasion and cuts.
