Dedicated to aggressive riders, the MAXXIS Minion DHR II 29x2.40 WT Double Down 3C Maxx Terra Tubeless Ready tyre folding bead is designed forEnduro/Freeride in competition on dry to loose terrain. In this Wide Trail (WT) version, it is optimised for rims 30 to 35 mm wide.
Completely redesigned, it offers further improved performance whether in acceleration, cornering or braking. The wide lateral knobs make it easier to initiate a turn, while the denser grooved centre tread guarantees excellent control.
This top-of-the-range version is designed for the most demanding competitors, with a 120 TPI Double Down dual-ply casing reinforced by a butyl insert guaranteeing maximum robustness and resistance to pinch flats worthy of a DH tyre, but at a significantly lower weight.

Original warped tire ... wrong print?
"Faithful to MAXXIS for years on narrower models (2.10 or 2.20), I chose this MINION DHR II with confidence for my new All-Moutain. Having failed to seal the wheel (the 1st time this has happened to me), I entrusted the fitting to my fitter. The seal has never been perfect, however, and I have to re-inflate the tire before every ride. In fact, the tire is warped, and quite heavily at that. . The rim (carbon) is perfectly straight, it's clearly the tire that's the problem. Re-inflated and re-sprayed at a service station on the advice of my mechanic, nothing helped. Above 20 kph, my rear wheel shakes, it's unbearable. After several weeks of discomfort, I've decided to change it, but I'm going to look at the competition. ... Bad draft?! Possibly, but at that price it's harder to forgive ..."
