Developed and tested in collaboration with Greg Minnaar, the tire MAXXIS Assegai 29x2,50 WT 3C tire takes its name from a spear used by the Zulu people of South Africa. It's the perfect weapon for fighting mountains.
Its high lugs provide great traction and support on dry, damp, rooty or rocky terrain. The soft 3C Maxx grip rubber is ideal for extreme conditions, for maximum grip and minimum rebound.
In this version Tubeless Ready which can be fitted with or without tubes, this tire also features a reinforced DH casing to withstand the most arduous descents.

One hell of a hook
"Mounted on the rear of a 29 and used in the mountains on greasy, dry terrain. Superb grip and not too bad in greasy conditions. Performance wasn't great, but I was blown away by the tire's grip. Braking in steep terrain was very safe.

"Tested for about 200 km with a VTTAE plus I'm quite heavy (about 120 kg with the bike), in DH casing very pleasant because you can lower the pressure without fear of pinching or fuzzy feeling in the steering, easy mounting taken in soft rubber for the front."
