Description
The DT SWISS freehub body allows fitting a Shimano drivetrain on your DT Swiss hub.
It benefits from Ratchet technology, a patented freehub system fitted with high-precision ratchet rings guaranteeing maximum stress resistance and reliability. Moreover, thanks to the "no tool" concept, it is very simple and quick to maintain.
With every pedal stroke, the teeth of both rings mesh together perfectly at the same time. Unlike a pawl system where the contact surface of the hubs is relatively small, here each tooth engages with its full surface against the opposing tooth, thus creating significantly lower point loads. The result: the legendary reliability of Ratchet System hubs and the unmistakable sound of their ratchet rings!
