Description

Handmade in Germany, specially for Gravel, road adventure and off-road riding, the CONTINENTAL Terra Trail ShieldWall Skin SL 700x35c Tubeless Ready Supple tyre adapts to all terrains. It features a slightly more aggressive tread pattern and knobs than the Terra Speed model, for better grip on difficult terrain.

The Terra Trail is built around a 3-ply 180 tpi casing. It uses the PureGrip compound, a particularly durable rubber blend that offers good grip.

The Terra Trail tyre benefits here from ShieldWall protection, which helps reinforce the sidewalls against cuts on treacherous terrain. Another key feature of this product is that it can be fitted without an inner tube thanks to Tubeless Ready technology, which further reduces the risk of punctures.

Sure.

"Very good value for money. Used half velotaff and half gravel tubes because I don't like the product. ... No front punctures and only one rear puncture in 10 months. That's not much! Rear tire very tired (normal) but the front is still good. More than decent performance on asphalt and good grip on mud. In short, it seems to me to be a good compromise."

mixed opinion

"1st outing (60km, including the last 30 on the road) and for no apparent reason, already a big 1cm cut in the sidewall of the front tire, perpendicular to the rim, so heading for the trash can after this outing. . . (defective tire? no answer from probike's service department... ) but in 15 years of mountain biking, I've never had this kind of problem! otherwise, tubeless mounting was easy, and the rear tire has held pressure perfectly for 3 weeks. In 35, comfort isn't exceptional, but that's to be expected... . Compared to my original tires with their much smoother profile, I don't feel any great loss of performance on asphalt."

Coco (2/5)

Low rolling resistance

"In 35mm, it's a bit scary because of the narrow side, rather used to 38s (overide) but it holds. Good grip, and tubeless, more comfortable & more rolling than the previous ones. No hindsight yet on longevity. Easy to fit. They snapped without preventive on mavic rims."

Shoot276 (5/5)

good tire for mud

"very complicated tire to break in tubeless, i see 2 possible causes bent bead in 3 places due to the folding of the tire for storage or perhaps the original rim of my triban 520. otherwise very good tire in slippery conditions, mud, rain, even on asphalt, it gave me no fright, no slipping. not enough recoil for wear. mounted at the front, it's not very comfortable, my forearms hurt quickly. and less inflated, it felt like I was banging the rim on roots and stones."

Tipiake (4/5)

good tire

"very good tire for both road and trails, perfect for bikepacking or ultra with 50% trails".

Mitigated

"They grip well in the mud. I find them fragile and quickly porous with the preventive".

Very good tires

"Mounted on my DT swiss on Triban RC 520. Goes everywhere. Nothing to complain about. Great tires."
