Orange Bikes is a mountain bike specialist manufacturer based in Halifax (Yorkshire) in the north of England. Founded in 1988, the brand made its name primarily in the early 2000s through the successes of professional riders racing under its colours.
It was aboard an Orange MTB that Greg Minaar and then Steve Peat claimed the overall Downhill World Cup title, in 2001 for the former and in 2002 and 2004 for the latter. The brand, which also offers women's models, has shone in the female category too, notably with Tracey Hannah's under-21 Downhill World Championship title in 2006. Still producing a good proportion of its frames by hand in Halifax, Orange Bikes today offers a wide range of mountain bikes spanning from Cross-Country hardtails to full-suspension DH bikes, as well as Enduro and Dirt.
