Yeti

California - the cradle of mountain biking - an accident, a period of recovery, and here's John Parker welding his first bicycle frames: it's early 1985!
The small YETI CYCLES company, which he founded with his wife, was just getting off the ground. The first bikes did very well, and recognition came as early as 1988: the FRO (For Racing Only) was tested and approved by Mountain Bike Action magazine! It was already sporting the turquoise color that has now become a must-have for the brand. The following years saw YETI represented by talented riders such as Juli Furtado, Cross Country World Champion in 1990!

In 1995, John Parker sold the company to Scott Sports Group, which integrated it into its Schwinn brand. This led to the creation of the Lawwill model, with rear shock absorber.
The end of the 1990s was a difficult period for the brand, which was sold by its owners. However, the 2000s saw the brand revive, with successful bikes that sold very well, and performed very well in world competitions. The ARC (Absolute Racing Components) launched for the general public in 2002 is the best example. In 2004, the Yeti 575 appeared and became one of the brand's best-sellers. It's still in the catalog in an improved version!

YETI is all about pioneering spirit, a passion for mountain biking rooted in the very beginnings of the sport, and innovative bikes. An ideal curriculum for inclusion in the Probikeshop catalog!

My YETI SB66 has just come out of its cave! High quality, with top-of-the-range finish and operation. The geometry and kinematics of the frame allow you to ride fast and hard while having fun, without worrying about the equipment. You can read the terrain precisely, and from the very first turns of the wheel, you'll feel right at home! A great bike!
