How to dismantle your MTB headset?

Steps

First remove the mountain bike fork by following the guide : How to fit a mountain bike fork ?

Probikeshop tip: This is a rather delicate operation. Make sure that the frame is well supported and that the cupholder is securely in place before you strike.
  1. Remove the fork cone using the fork extractor. A
  2. Remove the cups from the headset, one by one, by striking the cup remover previously positioned against them. B

Your headset is now disassembled. Take the opportunity to clean your headset and measure the internal dimensions, if necessary, to select your next headset.
