Cube's great strength in recent years has been its mastery of motor integration. Fitted with Bosch motors and batteries, which remain a benchmark in the field, Cube's mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, touring bikes and city bikes are recognised for their particularly successful aesthetics, with an integration that gives an incredibly sleek look while ensuring an extremely natural pedalling feel.

For road cycling, Cube works in close partnership with the drivetrain brand Fazua, which addresses all the problems encountered so far in terms of bulk, weight or excessive resistance to pedalling beyond the assistance threshold.

Carbon technologies

The perfect trilogy: lightness, rigidity, pleasure.

With C:68 technology, CUBE managed to reduce the thickness of its frames by 25%, while significantly reducing their weight. With a carbon fibre content of 68% against 32% resin combined with nanoparticles, this manufacturing process also results in stiffer and more responsive frames.
But today the German brand is pushing even further by advancing this technology. Whereas C:68 frames were made up of homogeneous carbon layers, the new models now feature up to 6 different types of fibres, all woven at angles that respond to load constraints. This is C:68X technology! The result? Frames that are safer, stiffer, with better aerodynamic properties, but also more comfortable and lighter. And all of this thanks to the meticulous selection of materials and their targeted distribution.

Innovative carbon

A C:68 frame combines this carbon fibre with the Advanced Twin Mold manufacturing process, which minimises imprecise overlaps by carefully arranging the individual carbon layers over sensitive areas during the monocoque manufacturing process. The result is a frame with no superfluous weight and incredible performance.

C:62 – light and rigid at the same time

By using high-modulus fibres, frames bearing the C:62 logo are both lightweight and robust. Finely dispersed nanoparticles are integrated into the resin that bonds the two carbon layers. Thanks to these tiny particles, the frame's resistance is increased, and it is also less sensitive and more resistant to external forces. The combination of nanoresin particles and high-modulus fibres (with a fibre content of 62%) is what sets a C:62 apart from a conventional carbon frame. Like C:68 frames, C:62 frames benefit from the Advanced Twin Mold manufacturing process, which reduces the overlaps in the fabric layers.

Aluminium technologies

The top-of-the-range models use 7005 High Performance aluminium. The special alloy technique and heat treatment achieve great rigidity and minimised weight. Greater strength is obtained by combining a special alloy with a hardening heat treatment. Triple or even quadruple thickness of raw aluminium allows the use of a minimal amount of material, with wall thickness adjusted according to load.
The high-strength, heat-treated Superlite aluminium frame is rigid, corrosion-resistant and robust. It combines double-layer tubes and a thin wall with exceptional elongation and rigidity properties, using the patented Advanced Mechanical Forming process, which has the advantage of avoiding tedious and complex welds. The result? An aluminium frame that is both lighter and more rigid.

A unique laboratory

Real-world tests

To ensure the highest quality standards, every Cube model undergoes numerous tests in the brand's in-house laboratory.

  • Complete bike

    All bikes are tested on a roller test bench with weights on the handlebar, saddle and pedals to simulate the weight of a cyclist and any luggage. The roller turns to simulate the irregularities of a road surface and in total, each bike covers several hundred kilometres and must overcome 1.5 million obstacles.

  • Handlebar and stem

    The reliability and endurance of the handlebar, stem and seatpost must be 100% guaranteed on every bike. That is why every component is tested twice: once during production and a second time during tests carried out by Cube in its laboratory.

  • Braking systems

    Whatever the type of bike, the engineers also test the braking systems in all weather conditions and over more than 3,000 cycles to guarantee impeccable braking, stability, endurance and wear resistance.

  • The frame and cranks

    For road bikes, the tests replicate the significant forces applied to the frame and cranks during a sprint, with a high force exerted on the pedals over more than 10,000 cycles.

  • The head tube

    On mountain bikes, the head tube is a particularly vulnerable area as heavy loads transmitted by the suspension pass directly through it. Intensive tests are therefore carried out with this type of load on a specific machine designed solely for this purpose. A realistic load is applied to the fork to simulate braking, jumps and other obstacles. In total, the head tube must complete 50,000 cycles of this type without deterioration before production begins.
