Seatpost – To adjust saddle height

The seatpost is part of the handlebar, the stem or even the saddle of what are known as the contact points. The seatpost is fitted at the top of the frame's seat tube (also called the seatpost tube) using a seat clamp and serves as a support for the saddle. It effectively extends the seat tube to the desired length in order to set the saddle at the appropriate height. The saddle is attached to the seatpost via rails located underneath the saddle shell, which slot into the cradle situated at the top of the seatpost.

Seatpost – To fine-tune your position

The seatpost allows you to fit the saddle but also to adjust your position. It obviously lets you set the famous "saddle height" according to your leg length, but also to adjust your saddle setback (by sliding the saddle rails forwards or backwards in the seatpost cradle and by choosing a straight or more or less angled post) and finally to adjust the angle of your saddle.
