❓1. Organic plate or metal plate?

Your choice depends above all on the conditions.

If you do Light XC, favor the silence and the modulation on dry ground => Organic (Resin).

If you doEnduro/DH or drive often under the rain/mud, favor the heat resistance and the sustainability => Metallic (Sintered).

If you are looking for a compromise => Semi-Metallic.

❓2.What is the exact reference of my brake caliper to ensure Compatibility?

You must know the precise brand and model of your caliper (eg: Shimano Saint M820, SRAM Code R, Magura MT7, etc.).
Always check your caliper reference (often engraved on it) and buy Brake Pads specifically designed for this reference.

Many brands offer equivalents.

❓3. Are my discs compatible with Brake Pads metallic?

Verification: Some entry-level drives are only designed for Brake Pads organic (resin). Look for "Resin Pad Only" or equivalent on your disc.

Consequence: If your drive is compatible with both, you have a choice. If this is not the case, you MUST limit yourself to Brake Pads Organic.

❓4. Is it necessary to break in new Brake Pads ?

ABSOLUTELY. Break-in is crucial. It allows the material from the pad to be evenly transferred to the disc, ensuring maximum braking power and avoiding noise.
